Digital preservation policy

Argumentos ensures the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content through its institutional repository, managed by the Instituto de Estudios Peruanos (IEP). The repository is hosted on secure, locally maintained servers with regular backup systems and data integrity controls in place.

To guarantee continuous access, the journal implements periodic backups and secure storage protocols as part of the IEP’s institutional digital preservation strategy.

In addition, Argumentos supports interoperability and long-term discoverability by adopting open metadata standards and protocols. All content is made available for harvesting through the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH), facilitating its integration into indexing systems and digital preservation networks.
