Timeframes

From the time a manuscript is received until it is rejected or published, the following periods typically elapse (see Editorial Process):

• First stage of the editorial process: up to 3 weeks
• Second stage of the editorial process: 3 to 4 weeks
• Third stage of the editorial process: 7 to 8 weeks

Total time between manuscript submission and acceptance or rejection: between 0 and 7 weeks.
